Facilities

Our yard is a private competition establishment hosting 15 large airy stables (16ft x 16ft) with rubber matting throughout, including a large wash area, equine solarium and a Vitafloor.  Here horses can relax before and after work.   We also use a horse physiotherapist on a regular basis incorporating daily use with Equisage and Magnetic therapy rugs.

We have a large all weather sand/fibre mix arena (65m x 40m). With a selection of show jumps and portable cross country fences, bank complex and water splash.

Based in the Drumlins of County Down, we are spoilt with the natural hills for hacking and canter work and travel to nearby gallops and swimming pool for extra fitness work. In addition to hacking, we have a large 5 horse Monarch Walker which is used for warming up and cooling down.

We are very fortunate to live only 2 minutes hack from the picturesque Simmy Bay, a salt water inlet of Strangford Lough, which serves as our daily spa for the horses after they work.  This is a great cooling agent for legs after strenuous exercise and the natural healing properties of the sea for cuts and injuries.

We have a great team of staff, who are hardworking, professional but also good fun and have a good sense of humour!! We always have availability for riders to base themselves with their horses or trainee positions. Please contact us for further information.

No yard is complete without dogs and we have a pack of them which travel everywhere with us, they are also in charge of Security!
